What is THC?
Tetrahydrocannabinol more commonly referred to as THC, is one of the most known cannabinoids. THC is the compound within cannabis that creates the euphoric cerebral effects that many people think of when they hear the term marijuana. These effects are produced when the THCa (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is heated or decarboxylated, usually from vaporization or smoking of the flower. When the THCa is heated above a specific temperature (200-225 degrees F) it is converted into the readily available cannabinoid THC. This cannabinoid has medicinal qualities that help a variety of symptoms including but not limited to nausea, inflammation, chronic pain, appetite loss, insomnia, migraines and many more.
